Conference will highlight innovations in packaging, functional and decorative printing.

The digital packaging, decorative and functional printing markets are enjoying strong growth, and there are more opportunities ahead as consumers look toward customization. With this in mind, the inaugural InPrint Industrial Inkjet Conference will be held May 1-2, 2018 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Organized by Mack Brooks Inc., the InPrint Industrial Inkjet Conference is the first conference being held under the InPrint banner. There will be two concurrent tracks, covering Technical and Creative aspects, as well as 16 tabletop exhibits. Melissa Magestro, EVP at Mack Brooks Exhibitions Inc., said that bring InPrint to the US last year showed the need for a conference dedicated to analyzing trends and challenges in industrial inkjet technology, with presenters highlighting their experiences as well new technologies. “Prior to the launch of InPrint USA in 2017, North America had the most promising growth of industrial print technology adoption than any other country/region in the world,” Magestro noted. “Our 2017 show proved that with every educational session full of attendees eager to learn more about industrial print capabilities. “Industrial inkjet, specifically, is estimated to have a 36% cumulative growth between 2012 and 2022 (IT Strategies),” she added. “Our response to that is the Industrial Inkjet Conference, highlighting digital inkjet capabilities and applications across various manufacturing sectors. We seek to inspire the print community, from OEMs to end users, to have discussions on the possibilities and challenges of industrial print at the conference and then hopefully have it transpire to new machines, products and solutions on our show floor in 2019.” “There’s high demand for information about industrial inkjet technology in the décor sector,” Magestro reported. “Market advances in industrial inkjet technology have made it possible for printers to provide more customizable options and flexibility to their customers. People are interested to learn how these advances can apply to their customers and discover ways to get customer adoption of the technology. The customization fits in perfectly with trends we send across market segments where the end user demands products personalized for them.” “The purpose of the conference is to create a collaborative space for thoughts and ideas to be exchanged that normally couldn’t be accomplished on a large show floor” said Magestro. “We limited our event to 16 industry leading sponsors who will share their experiences in their respective market and welcomed several guest speakers to connect the technology with a thriving business. We anticipate 150-200 guests from all areas of the supply chain to join us in continuing the conversation on industrial print technology.” There are a number of speakers who will be in hand with talks, including Marcus Timson and Frazer Chesterman, co-founders, InPrint and Pure Digital, as well as presenters from FUJIFILM, Heidelberg, Seiko, INX Digital, Kao Collins, Ricoh, Roland DGA and others. “All of our sponsors and speakers are sharing the latest and greatest in their respective segments, which is very exciting,” Magestro said. “Whether it be new plasma pretreatment technology for digital UV printing, discussing new frontiers in 3D surface scanning or the advancements in water-based inkjet ink for flexible packaging, the theme of the InPrint Conference is innovation.” Magestro added that highlighting inkjet printing’s capabilities is a key aspect for growing the technology. “We hear often that one of the most difficult parts of this industry is getting end-user customers to realize the vast applications for the technology,” Magestro concluded. “We are using this conference to not only showcase the advances in the industry, but also to let attendees know how to grow their business with the technology.” For more information, see www.inprintshow.com.
